1. What this service is

69.studio is a platform for podcast hosts: a branded home for your show, a listening app for your audience, and a way to sell memberships without handing the whole relationship to Patreon or Substack. You connect the places you already publish (YouTube, RSS, and more as we add them), manage sponsors and events, and decide what your members get.

Public episodes play the way you published them: video through YouTube’s embedded player when that is where the episode lives, audio from your feed when that is where it lives. We store show metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, durations, and similar fields) so the hub can search, list, and resume. Generated transcripts, when you buy that add-on, are produced from audio you point us at and stored so listeners can search them.

2. Who runs a show

A show page belongs to the host who runs that podcast, not to a fan or a third party. Setting a show up means you represent that you are the host or have their permission to operate the hub on their behalf. We verify ownership by connecting your accounts (YouTube channel, feed, Patreon campaign, and similar) rather than letting strangers administer someone else’s catalogue.

Listeners browse, subscribe, and listen. They do not edit your show, turn on premium, or change what gets published. Management stays with you.

3. Premium and memberships

Premium means episodes and extras you chose not to make public: unlisted uploads, members-only feed enclosures, early releases before the public drop, bonus audio, and the same kinds of posts you would put behind Patreon today. A listener unlocks them by signing in with an account you recognize (your member list, an active Patreon pledge we check, or a membership sold through us when that route is enabled).

We do not take a public episode that is free on YouTube or in your open RSS feed and charge for it. If it is already free where you published it, it stays free on your hub. Premium is for the content you intentionally kept off the public shelf.

5. Plans, billing, and terms

Prices are listed on the pricing page and are the same numbers used in this document:

• Show $69 per month
• App $169 per month + $690 to set up
• Transcripts add-on $69 per month + 69¢/hr over 100
• Social add-on $69 per month
• Sponsor dashboards add-on $69 per month

Plans and add-ons bill monthly. The Show plan is month to month and can be cancelled any time. The App plan carries a one-time $690 setup charge, billed at the start rather than spread across the months, and a nine-month minimum from go-live, because a domain, a sign-in, and a database of your own carry running costs from the day they exist. Add-ons are separate line items with no minimum and can be added or dropped on their own without touching the plan.

The Transcripts add-on includes 100 hours of generated audio per month. Hours past that are billed at 69 cents per hour on the same cycle. Published transcripts pulled from a feed do not count against the meter. Back catalogue transcription is quoted before it runs and is not part of the monthly inclusion.

Revenue collected inside the app, meaning memberships, premium content, and ticket sales sold through us, carries a fee of 6.9% or 69 cents per transaction, whichever is greater. That figure is inclusive of payment processing rather than charged on top of it, and it covers refunds, retries, and sales tax handling. Revenue you earn on another platform, such as a Patreon or Substack subscription we check at sign-in, carries no ongoing fee from us. Connecting each of those platforms is a one-time $69 integration fee per platform.

Platform overages other than Transcripts, meaning usage beyond what a plan includes, are billed at cost plus 20%. Anything outside a plan is quoted before work starts.

Money you collect from sponsors is entirely yours and we take no percentage of advertising. Membership and ticket revenue is yours less the 6.9% above, and your member list is yours outright, exportable at any time.

6. Cancelling

When you cancel a paid plan, your show page stays up in a basic form so existing links do not break, unless you ask us to remove it entirely. Your data and your email list export on the way out. We hold your content and settings for 90 days in case you come back, then delete them.

7. Your content and your listeners’ data

You keep every right you already had in your show. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store, display, and deliver your content to your listeners according to the visibility you set. Your listener email list is yours, exportable at any time, and we do not market to it, sell it, or use it for anything other than running your show.

We collect basic page analytics across the site. Details are on the privacy page. We do not sell personal data and we do not run third-party advertising on your show pages.

8. What we ask of you

Do not use the service to break the law, infringe someone else’s rights, set up a show you do not run, or attempt to reach content a platform has restricted without authorization. We can remove a page or close an account that does. If we close a paid account for one of these reasons we refund the unused portion of the current period.

9. The honest limitations

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will never be down. When playback depends on YouTube or another host, a video or file they remove or restrict stops working here too, which is outside our control. Where the law allows it to be limited, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the previous twelve months.

If we change these terms in a way that affects a paid plan, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel rather than accept it.
